About Me

I am now the research scientist at ByteDance Multimedia Lab at San Diego. Previously, I was the postdoc at UIUC (supervised by Prof. Klara), at the University of Hong Kong supervised by Prof. Chuan Wu, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology supervised by Prof. Bo Li. I also collabrate closely with Prof. Jiangchuan Liu in SFU. I obtained my Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China in 2022, advised by Prof. Lifeng Sun. I received my B.E. from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Tsinghua University in 2017.

Research Interests

My research focuses on the optimization of multimedia systems from a networking perspective, particularly in the context of video transmission over real-world networks. I work on improving the efficiency and robustness of video streaming under challenging conditions such as packet loss, limited bandwidth, and network variability. By designing adaptive algorithms and system-level optimizations, my work aims to ensure reliable video transmission in practical networking environments.
